Yep

If it’s like our 07 the dash warning light will blink when the ignition is on

And it needs to be plugged into a laptop

It could be any simple code fault. Knock sensor

Low oil pressure at idle. There are some simple things that throw a code fault

If anyone here ever runs for high level political office please please please;

Mandate Marine Engine Management use automotive fault code readers

Get some sort of universal waterski course rights bill!

Pre-econtrols you used to be able to buy a "winky blinky" code reader or make one out of an LED and a paperclip - but I think 2007 PCM you're going to need a Codemate or better.

You need the diacom software and cables. Standard stuff for any modern MEFI boat. One of the most useful tools I've bought. They also have their techmate rather than using a laptop, but the techmate is like using 1990's technology compared to the laptop software. The CAN kit gets you everything you need for most modern boats. 09 should be CANbus . the 07-08 PCM requires a special adapter https://www.rinda.com/acro/prodlist.pdf

Edit - actually looks like an 09 could be either canbus or the special adapter. You would need to look at your ECM to see if it is ECM-07 or ECM-08 version
