Baller BMG73 Posted April 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 3, 2019 Is it a bad idea to use the same hard shell for both events? I had planned to get a plate and mechanism for my trick but wondered if this is not a common practice due to wear.
Baller eleeski Posted April 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 3, 2019 I like a stiffer shell for tricks than for slalom. But adding a tongue or heel slip in reinforcement can take care of that. If you wear out the boot - at least you are getting lots of skiing! Eric
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted April 3, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted April 3, 2019 It’s very common to use the same boot for slalom & trick If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller Chef23 Posted April 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 3, 2019 My son has done it since he was about 9 years old. He uses the old black reflex shell for slalom and trick. My son doesn't flip on a trick and does about 1500 points of hands and toes. I do know much better skiers than him that use the same shell for slalom and trick.
