Angle

Get on the front of the ski to make it turn tighter. Commit to the edge. Don't look at your next buoy. Get a solid lever pull position. Ski through any bobbles or little slack hits.

A pretty reach helps too. Reach straight in, not forward.

With a tournament pb of 35off, you are doing a lot right!

Create more space before the buoy so that you have more time for the ski to rotate prior to arriving at the ball. Some ski setups are much harder to ride into angle due to being too over stable in one of the directions of rotation at the speeds at which you are traveling.

Getting angle at the finish of the turn is the last domino to fall. Need to put the focus on the how all the other dominos line up first!

I was coached once that you can turn or you can pull, but you can't do both at the same time.

If you try to pull too early - before your hips have returned to the handle bad things will happen like your hands getting pulled away from your hips, getting bent forward and ultimately getting pulled down course.

You need to finish the turn with your hips at the handle, get your arms straight and be stacked before taking the boat's load.

Better skiers can do this quicker and more seamlessly than weaker skiers.

Ironically weaker skiers are often trying to do it too quickly.

If you watch pro skiers it can be amazing how late they can get and still get across to the next ball all because of great body position. The lesson is you have more time than you think.
