Members DUSkier
From reading through a number of other threads it seems a lot of people are not up to date with current rules AND just found the IWSF 2019 Rule book was released yesterday
Baller ALPJr Posted March 21, 2019 Baller Share Posted March 21, 2019 As a basketball official I read and reference the IAABO rule book throughout the year. As a waterski enthusiast I rely on USAWS's published changes and tourney officials for the rule information.
sheskis7
instead of downloading the rule book and printing it, It can be purchased from AWSA
Baller LeonL Posted March 21, 2019 Baller Share Posted March 21, 2019 I voted 0-6 months, but I didn't read it cover to cover.
Baller JackQ Posted March 21, 2019 Baller Share Posted March 21, 2019 I read it numerous times last year preparing for my Senior Judge test. I read the 2019 changes a few weeks ago.

Administrators Horton Posted March 21, 2019 Administrators Share Posted March 21, 2019 To be clear it has been years since I read it cover-to-cover but I do certainly look at it more than every 6 months Quote Support BallOfSpray by supporting the companies that support BallOfSpray California Ski Ranch ☆ Connelly ☆ Denali ☆ Eden Lake ☆ Goode ☆ HO Syndicate ☆MasterCraft ☆ Masterline ☆ Pentalogo ☆ Performance Ski and Surf ☆ Reflex ☆ Radar ☆ Rodics OffCourse ☆ S Lines ☆ Stokes About Horton
klindy
What's as important as reading it is how it's interpreted. I personally think the AWSA rule book is less prone to ambiguity than the IWWF rule book but they both have some level of interpretation involved. So, while it's important to keep up to date and read/reference as necessary, attending a judges clinic where some of the ambiguity can be debated is also very important.
