Baller PurdueSkier Posted March 10, 2019 Baller Share Posted March 10, 2019 Looking to mount a bimini on my 2010 LXI. I am leaning towards a hull mount instead of a windshield mount. There isn't an available spot on the top surface. It will have to be mounted to the side of the hull above the rub rail beside the windshield. I am looking for a quick release option that can be side mounted. My past biminis have all had nylon fittings. Is there a concern with the stainless steel fittings scratching the boat when putting on and off? What are you guys using and where did you get them? bigskieridaho
Best bet is to get a Bimini top that has both forward and aft solid bars instead of straps. Stainless fittings are great. I have a tower on my 2009 so mine is super easy.
Members storm34
These are nice! Not sure if it's the best place to purchase but it's the style most new boats use. I'm making the switch this spring.
