Baller dave2ball Posted February 20, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2019 In the past she wanted too much money and too many restrictions on the usage. That is why no has sat idle for years. Prior to Nautique leasing the lake which is coming to end.
Baller Wish Posted February 20, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted February 20, 2019 It's worth what someone is willing to pay and what could be set up. Hope she gets what she would like and hope the lake gets used. Sad shame to see it sit idle considering how well it's protected and how well it skis. Members Jordan
Has it been used at all since Andy passed away?
Baller dave2ball Posted February 20, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2019 @Jordan no it has not. There were some parties interested to run a ski school but as I stated earlier she put too many restrictions on the lease and wanted too much money. Baller 6balls Posted February 20, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2019 @Razorskier1 , @wish, and “it don’t count if it isn’t a record tourney” and waterski Atlanta guy Obser on one of those pics. I skied there with Andy, too. Hope for a win-win for Deena and anyone who wud use it well
Baller Stevie Boy Posted February 20, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2019 Sometimes, the things you think are worth lots of money aren't, you have to be realistic, if the price was right, I am sure somebody would make use of it, no point in the lake sitting idle, let,s hope somebody can work things out. Baller kc Posted February 20, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2019 I’d like to believe that nothing would make Andy happier than to see skiers enjoying his lake again! I hope that happens.
Orlando76
I drive be there everyday and sad to see it deteriorate and hydrilla take over. Amazes me that the buoys lasted until about 8 months ago. On our lake we get a month out of the buoys.
Baller BraceMaker Posted February 21, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2019 Maybe Denali needs a new global world headquarters to celebrate their new ski?
Baller lpskier Posted February 21, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2019 Well, actually the lake is in great shape and all three courses (regular slalom, back to back two ball and jump course) look ready to go. Weeds were a problem for a while but Jon Travers and Zack Worden did a great job of cleaning it up and getting it ready to go last fall. The lake really looks great. It’s a shame to drive by and see it empty. Lots of great memories... Quote Lpskier
Baller thager Posted February 21, 2019 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2019 Loved skiing there. Really needs to be used! Hopefully something will be worked out.
