Baller JBB Posted January 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted January 28, 2019 Has anyone heard of these? I used one a while back when in the alps. I am looking for one here in the USA. I am looking for something fun to do while my kids are in ski lessons. If any of you have a lead, let me know. I would love to pick one up. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skwal
Baller JBB Posted January 28, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted January 28, 2019 Seems like a good off season activity!

Baller Jody_Seal Posted January 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted January 28, 2019 @oldjeep. Watched a couple videos of this aspect of snow skiing. What made it scary? Did not see any powder action just groomed medium slopes.. looks fast !
Baller JBB Posted January 28, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted January 28, 2019 it IS fast, the hard part is dumping speed if I recall. groomers are a must, and I'd stay away from super steep stuff.
oldjeep
The scary part was that Midwestern trails are narrow and it was super easy to get back on the tail, which would launch you off into the trees and snowmaking pipes. Non release bindings also scared me. That is a really long lever and the give is your knees
