skier2788
Not much other than being in the gym. Work on balance and core strength. Do a lot of Olympic style lifts. Deadlifts and squats. Other than that fly south and ski.
Baller Rednucleus Posted January 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted January 28, 2019 Get a dry suit and keep skiing. The water's not so cold if you keep getting in it every week - unless of course it becomes solid in your neck of the woods. Where are you? Our lake has not been above 34 for the last 2 months; been out 7 times in January and feel so much better continuing to ski weekly.
theboardingschool
You can always work on strength and balance in the gym, and as dumb as it may sound do some visualization in the mirror. I also agree with @Rednucleus if you can get out on the water a few days here and there, do it. And, don't put any pressure on what you're doing. I'm in Orlando so it's warmer than most spots, but on really cold days here I will just go out and run 6-8 of my opening pass and work on things, instead of hacking through passes trying to shorten.
