ToddF
While flying over houston today I noticed many bodies of water and it got me thinking. How many great places to ski are there in Houston that arent on ski lakes and the google earth ski app. How many other cities in the warmer climates of the US have natural ski sites that arent added into google earth
Baller ForrestGump Posted December 29, 2018 Baller Share Posted December 29, 2018 I've been in Houston forever. And the answer is not many. A LOT of the bodies of water you see are very shallow or not constant level. As well as the bayous that crisscross the city are not nearly wide enough and not constant level. Baller thompjs Posted December 29, 2018 Baller Share Posted December 29, 2018 Many of those ponds are drainage detention for subdivisions or commercial buildings. There is no public access. It does seem odd that a city this large would not have some more sites that are semi public. There are some courses on rivers outside the city, but those come and go depending on who set them up.
