bassfooter
Found this on the floor of my ‘98 Ski Nautique, behind the driver’s seat. It appears to have sheared on the threaded end opposite the slot. The brass ‘roller’ slides off. Nothing unusual happened prior to finding it and everything was operating normally. Any ideas? oldjeep
Look like parts for 2 different things. The brass piece is the sleeve for a compression fitting.

Baller Jody_Seal Posted November 16, 2018 Baller Share Posted November 16, 2018 Teleflex cam style control. After mv series. 96-2013 correct craft and others. The parts we are looking at are what rides in the throttle control and actuated the throttle cable. Post and brass bushing . Rides inside cam slot. Pay the man! Baller eleeski Posted November 16, 2018 Baller Share Posted November 16, 2018 That explains the high idle RPM. That will teach you to pull trickers (thanks again). Eric

Baller Jody_Seal Posted November 17, 2018 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2018 @bassfooter Never been able to find those parts as replacement. Might as well bite the bullet and replace whole unit. Discount inboard marine has em.
bassfooter
@Jody_Seal thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction. Turns out the part simply unthreaded itself - it wasn’t sheared. I pulled the assembly out of the boat, cleaned and lubed everything, and screwed that part in with a drop of Locktite. We’re back on the water with a throttle that’s smoother than before, and I learned how that throttle/shifter works - very cool. Teleflex made the right move by replacing the spring-loaded dwell mechanism with this cam-driven version, don’t you think?
