Looking at a boat?

Found a Barefoot 190 in the area and was wondering how it was to slalom behind. An engine rebuild is no problem for us just looking for a ballpark worth and how it skis.

If it has the Tristar hull, you won't like it. I tried to access the link you listed, but it didn't work for me.

Sorry, fixed the link. Would it be better than our 4winns? At least a step in the right direction?

There is a barefoot 190 which is a tristar inboard and I would avoid. And a barefoot 200 outboard which is a prostar elongated with an outboard and is a fun boat.

 

I would buy a prostar 205 dd and be done w it.

You should test drive it for the heck of it. Theyre not bad boats... but arent ski boats.

 

Running that 454 will burn the gas.

I will see what the other guy says. Im not able to go in on my own and I am really trying to push a ski boat on him. Problem is it pretty much only benefits me since he does not ski.

Just about anything will be better than a Four Winns Horizon 190 for skiing, but that thing rides like a Cadillac. There's not a ski boat on earth that will have the ride that thing does on chop. My dad bought one of those back when I was 6 years old and sold it to my uncle, who still has it. Does many things well but skiing is not one of them.

 

Sounds like you might want to work on broadening your circle of friends if you're the only skier. Shouldn't be too hard to do in Michigan I'd imagine. :)
