Baller igkya Posted October 21, 2018 Baller Share Posted October 21, 2018 For those that have a permanent course, what do you do with the buoys at the end of the season? Leave em in, take em out, replace with old ones, other, etc? Edit: Our course has individual anchors/lines with sub-buoys.
Baller thager Posted October 21, 2018 Baller Share Posted October 21, 2018 I sink them to the bottom and wait! Accusink.
Baller_ MISkier Posted October 21, 2018 Baller_ Share Posted October 21, 2018 We take them out, connect a portion of swim noodle, and adjust the line so that the noodle is completely submerged a few inches below the surface. When the ice is out, we reach down about a foot to 18" and retrieve the noodle, adjust the line upward a bit, and reconnect the buoy. We have individual anchors also. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller eleeski Posted October 22, 2018 Baller Share Posted October 22, 2018 I just tied in new buoys. They should last the winter without me having to get in the water. Hassle free skiing all winter. Eric
Baller ScottScott Posted October 22, 2018 Baller Share Posted October 22, 2018 End of the season? Whats that? Must be some northern thing.......
Baller Marco Posted October 22, 2018 Baller Share Posted October 22, 2018 In the fall, we swap out our good buoys with older ones, so in the spring we are ready to ski without diving in cold water to install buoys. Once it warms up, we swap the old balls with freshly painted bubble buoys. Our lake is small with no current so ice/wind damage is not an issue.
