Baller eleeski Posted September 30, 2018 Baller Share Posted September 30, 2018 I'm impressed. Sweet look! Do I get a demo ride? And do I have to do it wrong foot forward? Of course, primer white is the only color for a ski. Eric

Baller BraceMaker Posted October 3, 2018 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2018 @Chef23 Probably quite light.
Baller eleeski Posted October 3, 2018 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2018 Wood can be reasonably light. It can have good flex properties. It can be fairly strong. It takes clever engineering and quality construction. These skis appear to have both. They look like fun skis. I've built wood skis. The "Trick Magic" name came from the performance of a wood ski I built. My wood skis didn't last so I was always chasing the magic. I had a lot more control of the engineering and build quality with composites. That's just me. Wood aircraft are about the same weight as composite planes (and aluminum or steel tube and fabric). Every material has its advantages and quirks. Lots of right ways to do things. Eric
natski01
@eleeski This is my trick. A different construction. 5 veneers 1200mmx325mm It It weighs 3.2 kg Just over 7 pounds with plate and back kicker. This Ski is very strong and could potentially be thinner and therefore lighter with still good strength.
Baller BraceMaker Posted October 3, 2018 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2018 Wood is of course almost a foam.
