Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted September 11, 2018 Gold Member Share Posted September 11, 2018 I discourage adding knots to a rope, as that increases the chance of breakage.
Baller igkya Posted September 11, 2018 Baller Share Posted September 11, 2018 Knots and ski ropes don’t go well together. Need to fid something (small piece of rope) into the mainline to shorten it.
Baller skialex Posted September 11, 2018 Baller Share Posted September 11, 2018 Dig out the inner rope with a fid or something, somewhere under the knot, at about 3 inches. Tap the edges with electrical tape. Losses the knot (a plastic hammer would help), don’t undo it completely (if you are not sure how to tight the knot again). Now pull the end of the rope to the desired length, pull back the knot to tighten it and fid the rope back in from the hole that sticks out. It’s not that difficult to adjust a knotted rope. Knotless ropes are more difficult. Hope that what I wrote makes sense, not so easy for me to describe the steps in English, not my mother tongue language.
