Baller Timber Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 Hi, I have 2 questions about some surprise with my 2014 Prostar last weekend: 1- How can I erase the service reminder "oil change is needed" without a visit to the dealer? 2- My Fusion remote control show waiting for network check connections". I can't use the system. does someone know how to solve this problem? Here some pictures
Baller Texas6 Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 Call your dealer and they will need to give you the dealer code necessary to eliminate the service reminder. Write it down as you will need it again. The stereo remote is likely just on the wrong source. Press the button with the arrow to scroll through sources and see if you can get sound via FM radio first
Baller markchilcutt Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 There is a way to reset the oil change on my 14 and I don't need the dealer code. I just reset it last week after changing the oil. Seems like there is a settings menu, then service, then oil change reset. Without my boat in front of me I cant say exactly but any dealer could walk you through it. No idea on the stereo
Baller ScottScott Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 The remote unit and the head unit for radio are on the NMEA network. Does the radio work if you operate it direct? Can you access the radio through the touch screen? Either the head unit or the remote has lost network connection. Maybe a reboot (turn off, and back on the battery) will help, or remove and replug the NMEA connections from the back of those units. Maybe a call to Fusion. There isn't a dealer code (at least not on mine.) There is a selection in there somewhere if you navigate through the menu and you can clear that. I've only done one oill change so far, but was able to find that reset in the menu.....its in there somewhere.

Baller Texas6 Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 My 15 requires a dealer code. Hmmm, head scratch moment for me
Administrators Horton Posted July 26, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 26, 2018 I don't change my own oil but it's just one or two clicks to turn off that message in my 2018. Baller Roger Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 My 16 does not require a dealer code, just reset via the service information menu as @ScottScott said.
Baller swc5150 Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 @Texas6 My '15 requires a dealer code too. I can't imagine we have different software than the 14's and '16+? I'm digging into mine tonight, and try to follow @ScottScott 's method.
Baller markchilcutt Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 At some point we did have to enter the dealer code on my 14 now that I think about it. It was a one time deal and haven't had to since to reset the oil hour meter.
Baller_ The_MS Posted July 26, 2018 Baller_ Share Posted July 26, 2018 Our 16 has a code to clear it. It was easy
Baller Andre Posted July 26, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 26, 2018 Someone posted ''91'' as the dealer code on MC forum. YMMV. My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller Youghskier Posted July 27, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 27, 2018 I can reset my ‘15 using the @ScottScott method without a code.
Baller swc5150 Posted August 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted August 2, 2018 FYI, I reset my '15 as well using the @ScottScott method. No code necessary.
Baller_ The_MS Posted August 2, 2018 Baller_ Share Posted August 2, 2018 Sorry no code on our 16. Just a reset
Baller swc5150 Posted August 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted August 2, 2018 There are 2 different areas on my '15 where I can reset my reminder. One requires a code and the other doesn't. I would think this is the same on all Prostars, but maybe not?
Baller_ The_MS Posted August 2, 2018 Baller_ Share Posted August 2, 2018 If you do buy a newer MC, make sure to get the seat ballast option. Takes a ton of weight to balance the boat if no observer.
