vernonreeve
I know people who are old, heavy, and/or out of shape and was wondering if the rave aqua buddy would help. Of if maybe something like this would work better? It's the Cabelas Clark Fork Pontoon. I was thinking it might work if I tilted the seat back so the boat wouldn't pull the skier out of the chair until the speed was good.
Baller UWSkier Posted June 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 2, 2018 I think either of those would result in too much drag and be less of an assist than you think. Probably better off getting the fattest ski you can and an easy up rope. That or do what we do and have them start on two and kick as soon as possible once they're up. Baller Stevie Boy Posted June 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 2, 2018 Borrow a pair of jump skis, get in the water and help them up by holding the life vest, help them less and less, they will be doing it by themselves in no time at all.
Baller OldboyII Posted June 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 2, 2018 Yes, I do the same with friends. Sometimes it is amazing how little help is needed to get them out of the water. Even on one ski.
Baller braindamage Posted June 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 2, 2018 Putting some weight on the tails can help stabilize the skis and keep the tips up. Doesn’t help with upper body strength but it makes getting stable for the pull a lot easier.
