Baller ozski Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Yeah its way different for sure. It looks like a big step forward which will drive a lot of sales.
Baller EricKelley Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Impressive, lots of thought went into to it. I like the pursuit to fill in the trough, that is a big deal. Looks like it will make everything we do in the boat a little easier. I think I might buy a little stock in Seadek. No open bow apparently. Baller ScottScott Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 The wake looks good. Different....looks maybe wider, but softer. You can see the effects of the micro tuners in the video. I'm sure the wake is nice. A wake so nice you'll want a ballast for trick.....
Baller ScottScott Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Some other nice new features..... open side window design with integrated bimini, access to drain plug, split back seat. Sounds like a Mastercraft.
Baller jcamp Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Not sold on the looks and the price of 130K (if true) seems crazy, but I gotta say Nautique definitely upped the ante and I'm glad that they are obviously showing a commitment to water skiing. Really looking forward to skiing behind it.
Baller MattP Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Starting at over 100k...
Baller oldjeep Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Interesting stealth fighter look with all the angles on the hull. The one they show doesn't look bad, but maybe they need to build an all flat black version.
Baller BrennanKMN Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 I love the technology and innovation. I just cannot stand the looks. I miss the days when Nautique designed classic boats that were 'always in style'. Now they are too edgy and hard lined for me. They used to be like Audi, now they are like Lamborghini. Very cool work from Correct Craft though.
Baller OSUwaterskier Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Spec out either the MC or the Bu with a 6.2 and the MSRPs aren’t too far off...
Baller Teddy Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 A lot of thought and innovation went into the redesign. There is much to like. I think they raised the bar.
Baller 6balls Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Looks cool...spent some money on that design for sure. Some cool features, forward thinking.
Baller BrennanKMN Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Closed bow only again? Interesting.
Baller OSUwaterskier Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Hmmm video says they offer the full engine line - figured they were only offering 6.2 based on picture above. Welp at least it’s not $130!
supersonicus
Nothing better than a Nautique in my book, but I can't help but be reminded of the stealth bomber with the new styling.
Baller aupatking Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 The wake and tracking are what matters, and it looks like CC has done their work
Baller PatM Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 @ScottScott I heard a rumor that trickers love the wake.
Baller disland Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 I wonder how that new trick ballast tank will stay within the rules
Baller dbutcher Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Rules may have to change on the ballast - similarly to what they did for weight in the Mastercraft. Hydrogate rule may need to be changed too.
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Absolutely "LOVE" what they have done. Plus you can't pick it up on Radar !!
Baller Jordan Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Well, the wakes look great, but to my eye the boat is ugly!
Baller Skirvind Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 It's a Gski, as long as it gives a great ride and drives as good or better then the 200. I can warm up to the styling.
Baller swc5150 Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 I'm sure it skis great, but it's hard on my eyes. As a biased owner, MC now has he best looking boat of 3. "looks like 2 G's had a kid"...best description I've read lol
Baller Keith_Menard Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 I just don't think they did themselves any favors showing it in that sparkle blue...I would reserve judgement on the looks until they get a more neutral color in the water
Baller Obrienslalom Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Adding wake to flatten it out? Brilliant. I hear in 2020 they are going to make the wake 40ft wide so you never have to cross them.
Baller swc5150 Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 pn has some good pics of other colors. The purple is pretty wild. It looks cool from some angles, it's just that bow is too GS.
Baller TEL Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Okay, i take back my No i said. Always wondered if they would find a way of taking care of the dip behind the boat, not that i ski that short yet but have free styled and could feel it. Will this be a game changer for a new record? Baller swc5150 Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 I like that the bimini rests on the gunwales and not the engine box.
Baller LoopSki Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 It seems silly to me that they would make such a large bow , but not offer it open .
Baller disland Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Didnt see anything about availability of a non-carbon version
Baller UWSkier Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Some innovative ideas in there for sure! Could get another 200 lbs off the thing if they'd remove all those damn decals around the throttle they're so enamored with. :)
Baller ntx Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 @disland noticed that also. On the Nautique home page, this is the only option. Not sure I am crazy about the looks. 98 inch beam. My guess is that you might not get it past the cables on some existing lifts.
Baller socalskier Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Love the whole package and can’t wait to drive/ski it! As with all boats there will probably be some tweaking. I love my 200 but I would have changed several things on it. Gonna miss the open bow for our uses.
Baller UWSkier Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Did I read 98" beam? That's crazy if so. Same width as the Malibu FXi which was dismissed here as being too wide for a course boat.
Baller oldjeep Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Isnt the prostar 96? 98 puts it at the same width as my vtx, which fits in a course fine.
Baller swc5150 Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 The open bow is coming at some point. That's why the bow is so huge. My dealer said he'll trying to find out next when that will be. Odd that they didn't just offer it with the rollout.
Baller skihart Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Wow looks like a ton of thought went into this boat. Lots of innovation as expected from Nautique. I am sure they will add the open bow option once production gets going. That bow is prime for an open version no question. The wake looks exceptional. I dont think any of us expected anything less so no surprise there. Cant wait to see what the slower speed wakes are like for the kids and wife. Filling in the troughs is next level, love it. All the electronics looks troublesome. Its cool stuff, but my feeling is that they are overcomplicating something that should be simpe and concise. I can barely deal with all the options in my car at any given time let alone worry about it in a boat. Not sure I am ready to trade in my 200 to upgrade at that msrp though....... Baller escmanaze Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 98" Beam. Wow. @Than_Bogan is so sad right now. Good to see somebody start a trend hopefully toward trying to take some weight out of the boats. These things are/were starting to get ridiculously heavy. It's official - ski boats have just been getting uglier and uglier for the last decade and a half. Apparently this trend will not be going away any time soon. I'm starting to see a consistent theme: The manufacturer with the prettiest ski boat is the manufacturer who has least recently put out a new design. Starting today - that is now Mastercraft. Who would have thought that I would one day be in a position to say that a boat that looks like a beam was accidentally dropped on it in the factory, would be the most beautiful option available. I love seeing 400 pounds of ballast available. Screw the stupid trick rule!!! Let technology innovate!! Imagine if competitive wakeboarding had kept such an asinine archaic rule around. Baller jjackkrash Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Wow. I can't wait to check one out in person.
Baller escmanaze Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Micro tuners looks pretty cool. No talk so far of the long line slow speed wakes being improved. It looks like the demo days are coming up really soon. Hopefully some folks out there can get some video at demo days of "less than expert" skiers behind this boat. Baller dchristman Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 "Micro tuners" ... hmmm ... reminiscent of "SFE".

Baller swc5150 Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 The black and red one looks cool. I'm sure pics don't it justice at all. Looking forward to our dealer getting a test boat this June.
Baller jjackkrash Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Things I nitpicked about my 200: hard to reach drain plug and almost burnt arms getting it out on a few occasions; gas tank right over the stern weighting the stern when full; skis scuffing engine cover when making ski adjustments; having to pull the whole back seat out to keep feet off it. It looks like they solved those problems and a few more. I also love how the whole floor comes up to lift the engine cover for more room to service. My initial reaction is it is very impressive. Baller swc5150 Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 That's pretty awesome that they put so much R&D into a 3 event boat...even remembering the trick skiers.
Baller brody Posted April 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted April 9, 2018 Definitely the ugliest boat out there. Way too much sea deck. The sea deck will look horrible as it ages. Too much electronics in the cockpit. Some really cool interior innovations. I like the back end access for the skiers. Bimini feature is awesome. Drain plug is nice. Like the windshield and low side for the driver. Wake looks really nice. Hopefully I will get a chance to try one out this season.
