The sanction paper work is in for the 2018 NorCal MasterCraft BallOfSpray Cash Prize!

 

Make plans to be in Sacromento for the weekend of September 22-23.

@wish I do not currently have plans for any additional stops in 2018. Team Grubbs knocks it out of the park for me at Bell Acqua Lake 3 and it's pretty hard for me to make cross-country trips with a three year old.

 

If the right opportunities presented themselves I would be perfectly happy to put on additional events.

@Horton I've never skied a tournament and haven't even completed a full pass at my proper speed but am contemplating entering the 2018 BallOfSpray cash prize. What's your thoughts on beginners entering this event? There was a post from a couple years ago encouraging skiers that aren't running ultra short-line to enter, how has that gone and is it still encouraged?

@Fam-man Hmmmmmm I need to think about this. The event is designed for skiers who run passes. I really do not want to take your money unless I am sure you will enjoy yourself.

@SkiDawg is easy to beat. Just take him drinking the night before and buy a LOT of IPA.

@Horton - Last year we had a two pronged approach to take @skidawg down that consisted of excessive mountain biking to tire him out and excessive drinking. Unfortunately @Dirt started the excessive drinking a day early causing @skidawg to flake on the mountain bike ride the next day and not want to drink the night before the tournament. The result was @skidawg was well rested and took down everyone but Twhisper. This year we'll need to coordinate efforts better to take @skidawg down.

I am pretty sure I had 20x's more beer than @horton last year and more beers than anyone else out there other than @twhisper ---- Looks like it worked for a solid 1,2 podium. Long live IPA
