Baller A_B Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 Even saw a guy trying to back an I/O onto a trailer once. Can't get short link to work on iPhone. Sorry. https://youtu.be/Pkeiv7hZy_Y
Baller BrennanKMN Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 Ford has the same thing. My personal opinion - if you cannot back it up you cannot drive it. Same goes for vehicles without a trailer too. If you are practicing and learning find an empty parking lot and practice there. Here is another video. At least in this one they are backing up a new ProStar.
Baller A_B Posted October 28, 2017 Author Baller Share Posted October 28, 2017 All this technology gave me a pain in the neck. I got a new tow rig this past summer, and it has all the collision avoidance systems in it. The maiden boat tow to the lake with my buddy gave us a rude wake up call. I pulled ahead of our ramp and started backing in the boat and the brakes were slammed on, and I mean they slammed on hard! It was like we hit something. Then we had to look at the owners manual to figure out how to turn the system off while backing the trailer in. I occasionally forget now and then, and am rudely reminded.. The other stuff like reactive cruise control, and lane centering are pretty cool.
