Baller S1Pitts Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 The athletic talent of some guys is amazing. :o :o :o
Baller dchristman Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 I thought this was going to be another one of those end of season "I snow ski in the winter" threads. I WANNA DO THAT!
Baller jayski Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 Cool, but not sure why they feel it's necessary to hold onto their poles and the handle...
Baller eleeski Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 @scotchipman I thought I saw a winch in a couple of the frames. @jayski I find poles help for some tricks. And they do drop the rope and ski while gliding. I also saw a couple shots without the poles. Very cool! I want a winch! Eric
Baller Garn Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 Who/what is pulling him?
aspski
They are using a winch setup
Baller adkh2oskier Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 Almost looks like they are pulling him w a helicopter except the angle of the rope is too low for that. Whatever it is, it's got a lot of power to pull him at those speeds.
mdriggs
The cinch is in the last shot !!!
Baller FSSPCat Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 Smart to use a winch. We used to use snowmobiles all the time to tow into a gap jump on the prairies in the winter.
Baller sunvalleylaw Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 HaHa! One of those kids is a local boy! Awesome! Karl is a Ketchum kid.
Baller jimbrake Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 I thought that was actually pretty cool. Think they would've been better off on a pair of jumpers except for just a couple of small snow bank hits. @eleeski - what are these so-called "tricks" that you do on snow skis? I fully expect to see them this winter. Hey, let's set up a winch on Squaw Creek this coming spring.
Baller DaveD Posted October 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2017 I think I would have insisted on wearing a full helmet. Some of that water was quite shallow. Worse the @scotchipman 's old place.
Baller liquid d Posted October 25, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 25, 2017 You guys were nuts to "really" ski in that shallow...lucky.
Baller bigskieridaho Posted October 25, 2017 Baller Share Posted October 25, 2017 That was bitchin. I am on it. Got plenty of water around here, just have to build some kickers.
