Baller smigforce Posted September 23, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 23, 2017 Have a lead on these two boats. Would be using for multi sport but am most focused on quality of slalom wake. I know need to test drive but both a good drive away so trying to prioritize which to see first. I am a beginner skier and coming off occasionally going behind a 2014 mc x23 so my hope of getting a direct drive there will be a dramatic difference. Baller lundberg Posted September 23, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 23, 2017 I have a 94 Prostar 205 and it skis great. 15 off is great, bump at 22 then it gets good up the line except spray at 35 off and shorter. Hull change in 96 for the 205 hurt the ski wake but made the boat better for wakeboarding and handling rough water. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Baller andjules Posted September 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 24, 2017 +1 for the 95 and older Prostar 205 for slalom, I ski behind one fairly often. When you say "multi sport" if you're serious about wakeboarding or (especially) wakesurfing, you'll want to get some ballast. As per @LoopSki 's comment, a Malibu Sunsetter LXi with a wedge (99-04) is probably the best slalom-first multi-sport boat; the slalom wake is a little better than the 205 and (with the wedge) the wakeboarding/wakesurfing wake is also better.
