Baller lff Posted March 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2017 Needing a Response LXi on a trailer transported from Orlando to somewhere around Manchester NH. Any vendor recommendations? We put an inquiry into uship but so far no response. Anyone shipped one that far(1400 mi) ? If so what did it cost you ? Thanks
Baller Kelvin Posted March 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2017 Had a buyer ship one with uship several years ago - if I recall, it was about $1/mile or so.
Baller swc5150 Posted March 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2017 I used uship 2 years ago to ship an SN from Buxton in TX to WI, about 2k miles. Cost me $660 total. I used the "name your price" tool, as all the quotes I received were between $1,200 and $2k.
Baller LoopSki Posted March 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2017 If the hauler can secure a return trip with another haul , your price will better . Likely how swc5150 got such a deal.
Baller_ MISkier Posted March 30, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted March 30, 2017 There is an old thread here that mentions using Wayne from Autokraft. Do a search for that. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller jjackkrash Posted March 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2017 @swc5150, I am surprised $660 even covered gas.
Elite Skier ColeGiacopuzzi Posted March 30, 2017 Elite Skier Share Posted March 30, 2017 @lff we had our CC 200 towed from MI to CA 2200 miles using uship a couple of years ago, worked out great. it came out to be around $2000 Radar Skis Follow Instagram
Baller swc5150 Posted March 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2017 @jjackkrash It would be cutting it close! My guess is it was a backhaul, since it was a Rockford, IL company, and I either just paid for his fuel or there was something else loaded on his truck? Baller skiinxs Posted March 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2017 I have also had good luck with uShip several times. I didn't go with the cheapest bid a couple of times as that person didn't have any experience rating. I may be paranoid, but I wanted some good references before turning an almost new boat over to them. (the difference was only around $100), cost was usually a little less than $1 per mile. Each time was well over 1,000 miles.
Baller jjackkrash Posted March 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted March 30, 2017 @swc5150, what ever the reason, that was a bargain!
