Administrators Horton Posted January 13, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 13, 2017 If anyone is thinking of going to the lakes this weekend - Wheeler Ridge is closed on both directions. You might sneak around but if CHP sees you I understand it is an ugly ticket. If you want to ski you have to go to Banana lakes Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Become a Supporting Member or make a One-time Donation
Elite Skier ColeGiacopuzzi Posted January 13, 2017 Elite Skier Share Posted January 13, 2017 My neighbor said you can still get through, CHP doesn't sit there all day. they'll have it open quick, the rain washed out underneath the road and created a sinkhole. My neighbor told me they already had concrete pipes in. There on it. Radar Skis Follow Instagram

Baller Wolfeie Posted January 13, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 13, 2017 Judging from the last photo I saw from Ski West, Charlie has a lake in front of his garage. He is going to need a boat to get to his boat. Our roads are pretty much a swamp right now.

Baller_ MISkier Posted January 14, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted January 14, 2017 The big question will be: how will you be able to retain all the much needed surplus water before somebody collects/confiscates it and starts funneling it to the delta smelt? The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.

Administrators Horton Posted January 14, 2017 Author Administrators Share Posted January 14, 2017 I really really try to keep non-waterski politics off this site but this is a subject that kills me. How dumb is California? Baller_ MISkier Posted January 14, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted January 14, 2017 @Horton, I wouldn't say that this is non-waterski politics. While it is not a sport governance/rules sort of issue, it is something that directly affects the sport - like the power grab over every body of water by the EPA. Baller MattP Posted January 14, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 14, 2017 @horton Gallagher should be happy I took the time to read an article about water conservation practices on the left coast.
Baller wtrskior Posted January 15, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 15, 2017 @MISkier @mattp @Horton If we're getting partisan politics might as well tell more than 1/2 a side of a story. Baller ski6jones Posted January 15, 2017 Baller Share Posted January 15, 2017 California water wars are decades old, and on both sides of the Sierra. Remember China Town? That's what happens whe you build a city of 10 million in the desert.
