I worked with @brettthurley some 20 years back, when WaterSki Magazine was doing its

own version of Boat Tests. He helped out a lot, and skied many passes. Even had a

compliment for me. I figured that I did well with driving for some 400 boats over the

years, that I never chomped out a buoy. Some real specimens of boats there.

I’ve seen this list before, but it just struck me how surprising it is that Tgas has not run it again in the last 13 years. Obviously it wasn’t a fluke, because he has multiple world championship wins. Kind of surprising.

Starting with Nate, all ZO. That’s 54%. TGas, Will and Parrish probably ZO, raising it another 20% . That leaves 4/15 or or 26% on PP or earlier speed control systems. The data would support the notion that ZO is superior, although I think the general sentiment leans otherwise. But then again there are three types of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics. The original list posted in 2016 goes through 9, then Sacha was added (No. 10)  I know Brian Detrick recently was No. 12.  Despite lengthy googling, I can not find who/when No. 11 was.  Also, does the list still stand at 12?
