Thread drifting back to the qualification issues, the Western Region is literally thousands of miles big. Regionals in Imperial were across the country from Regionals in Ski Park (up and down wise). This is a real travel burden. Perhaps allowing ranking list qualified skiers to ski a closer (approved) tournament as the Regional participation requirement would increase Nationals attendance. If your child skis day one and you ski day four you only have two days to kill, if you look at it that way. Is there camping at SMRR? Dates?
