Baller Booze Posted August 18, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted August 18, 2016 Inclusive to what? The "ski year" that runs from Nationals to Nationals?
Baller dbutcher Posted August 18, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2016 I believe it's your age on December 31.
Baller Booze Posted August 18, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted August 18, 2016 @dbutcher - yeah, that makes the most logical sense. Why don't they specify that?
Baller dbutcher Posted August 18, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2016 Pretty sure the AWSA rule book does. I haven't looked recently.
Baller Booze Posted August 19, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted August 19, 2016 AHA, Google is your friend....Duh My Bad, Page 8 Competition for the three major events shall be separated into the following divisions as determined by the contestant’s age. The “ski year” shall begin on the day after the conclusion of the Nationals, and shall end on the final day of the following Nationals. The contestant’s age on December 31 of the ski year shall determine his division for the entire ski year. For example, if a skier's birthday within the "ski year" could result in an age division change and his birthday is between the day after the conclusion of Nationals and December 31 inclusive of that "ski year", he will ski in the older division, beginning the day after Nationals. Otherwise, he will remain in the younger division for one more season concluding with the end of the following Nationals.

Baller Booze Posted August 19, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted August 19, 2016 Short Rulebook Link but hmm, is it really a short link? I could expound but that would be circumlocutory
Baller LeonL Posted August 19, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 19, 2016 @Booze to be specific in answer to your question, "inclusive" in the context that you refer to means the ages mentioned. For example M4 means you go in at 45 and stay in through 52. This means the ages mentioned are included within the range.
Baller Razorskier1 Posted August 19, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 19, 2016 Just sign up for a tournament after nationals and you will know your division for the current ski year - that's when I found out I'm now M5.
Baller LeonL Posted August 19, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 19, 2016 It's not rocket surgery to figure out divisions. If you can't decipher the above post by @booze, you can look at the rankings page if you skied a tournament this year. All those moving up have been updated on the ranking system to show correct division.
