Baller tru-jack Posted July 20, 2016 Baller Share Posted July 20, 2016 just booked hotel for the Malibu Open, and the family and I are travelling down from Ontario, Canada. Was there a couple of years ago and had a great time, especially at the event hotel, as the skiers were great with the kids giving photo ops and autographs. It looks like the event hotel changed this year? also any word on the annual waterski mag awards banquet, as we would like to attend this event. Baller Edbrazil Posted July 20, 2016 Baller Share Posted July 20, 2016 The Malibu Open has always been a special event. Back in 2002, both the World Records were exceeded in Men and Women at Bell Acqua, to the tune of $25,000. each. In 2008, in combination with boat racing, the event was in Pontiac, Michigan. In Year 2000, the US Open was sponsored by Malibu on Bell Acqua Lake #3. With some great performances, including a World Record payout of $25,000. to Toni Neville for a jump record. Baller mlange Posted August 15, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2016 The lakefront and downtown is nowhere near the problems that occurred (or are still going on) so you should be be in good shape (and safe). Mike
