Baller rodltg2 Posted February 26, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 26, 2016 I think it may be close now , but weather this time of year could change for the worse over the next couple months
Baller_ MISkier Posted February 26, 2016 Baller_ Share Posted February 26, 2016 It is only warm enough for me during those rare summers where we have extended days of 90+ degree weather. We had a week or so of that in 2012. That was the last time I didn't wear a heater top. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears. gt2003
I could probably deal with it in April if I didn't have a wetsuit. Since I've got one, I will wear it and the neoprene beanie until May.
Baller Chef23 Posted February 26, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 26, 2016 Sometimes it is July and there are days all season where you might throw the hot top on early in the morning.

Baller Kelvin Posted February 27, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 27, 2016 I usually get out of the heater top by late March, but that wasn't a choice.

Baller oldjeep Posted February 27, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 27, 2016 I've gone without in April, but for comfort a short suit until mid may most years.
mikegile
Many years it's July when water gets to
Baller Marco Posted February 27, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 27, 2016 I'll lose the rubber when the water gets to 60-63ish, depending on air temp. That usually happens mid May here in Colorado.
Baller _ lpskier Posted February 27, 2016 Baller _ Share Posted February 27, 2016 Actually, there are lots of heater top days all summer long in northern NY. The water is warm enough but the air temps in the mornings can be in the 40's. Lpskier

xrated
MN and I wear one in the morning and evening all season. Generally I wear it even when it is 80 and 2pm outside as well. At this point it is more of a mind thing I'm sure as I do sometimes go without, just a habit thing like readjusting my glove velcro 3 times before getting in. Though I am a skinny guy and easily chilled.
Baller oldjeep Posted February 29, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 29, 2016 @skibrain - lol. Guess it depends how hot your body runs. I skied my race runs Saturday in a t-shirt, and would have wore shorts if I had them.
Baller brody Posted March 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 1, 2016 I don't understand people wearing tops in July. I live in what's considered the coldest major city in the world and we are out of everything by mid June!! This includes my 9 year old daughter???? Baller Edbrazil Posted March 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 1, 2016 Where, Brody? Fraser, CO? Probably not Yakutsk, Russia, where the average January temperature is -37.5F. Lowest recorded ever is -84F. Population about 300,000.
Baller brody Posted March 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 2, 2016 No I'm in Canada, Winnipeg to be exact It was -38 Celsius last night.
