Baller aupatking Posted February 3, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 3, 2016 I've been trying to locate some decent numbers for this Fusion for the longest time. It's unrideable at the stock numbers. Everyone who's been on the thing feels like death is imminent. It just holds so much angle the rider almost gets ejected OTF off the second wake, every time. So fin people, correct me if I'm wrong, but the long and deep numbers this thing had 6.925 2.52 & 0.750 just seem like they would accentuate that problem. Am I wrong? Administrators Horton Posted February 3, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 3, 2016 @aupatking Fusion is by far my favorite D3 to date. I'd really have to look to find my fin numbers but my guess is you have WAY WAY too much fin. To start with I would drop that depth down to 2.50 and shorten the length to 6.90. Both of these moves are totally off the cuff but I think it'll work better than those huge numbers you have. Administrators Horton Posted February 3, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 3, 2016 Looks like I used Z7 settings... whatever those were. Here is my review I will say it again the Fusion is the best D3 I have ridden to date (except the one special R&D ski that I can't talk about). I do not know why this ski did not catch on. As long as you do not tail ride it is awesome. If you do tail ride.... never mind. It also demands that the skier be on point. A few too many beers the night before and this ski will beat you more than many other skis. I wish I still had that test ski. .... Baller aupatking Posted February 3, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted February 3, 2016 Thanks @Horton those stock numbers just seemed crazy to me, but I was riding that ski when I really had no idea how to adjust the fin settings without blowing it up. I saw in your review some of the numbers @Sethski put gave you for the 67. I wanted to try those + 0.020-ish. If I remember right, I had factored D3's difference, length-to-length. I was about to sell the ski but wanted to put a reasonable fin setup on it, and give it one more ride, at least.
