Baller aupatking Posted December 14, 2015 Baller Share Posted December 14, 2015 Hey @gregy what numbers did Andy give you? My setup got all out of whack, so I may as well try some new settings over the winter, to see if I like something different.

Baller aupatking Posted December 14, 2015 Baller Share Posted December 14, 2015 Thanks @JohnCox , I actually set it up matching your numbers last night. Should get a set or two in tomorrow after work. I had let too much time go by and hadn't noticed some fin drift.

Baller Dirt Posted December 15, 2015 Baller Share Posted December 15, 2015 @aupatking you may have to remove the set screws or the fin will drift. Some of the fin blocks had set screws that were too large and would not let it clamp properly.

Baller aupatking Posted December 15, 2015 Baller Share Posted December 15, 2015 @dirt, set it, tighten clamp screws, remove set screws, tighten clamp screws again, if needed? Edit: don't answer that. Obvious it is

Baller Dirt Posted December 15, 2015 Baller Share Posted December 15, 2015 Yes. I have talked to others who have been able to run the set screws in and out with machine oil a bunch of times and it held better. That did not work for me. It kept moving until I removed the two top set screws. As for fin settings, Andy sent me this email this summer: "Being that far back now, you can also experiment a little with depth. Usually on ski setups for me that are back a little, I tend to take out some fin. For example: 2.502, 6.835, 0.797 This was the ski I rode at Big Dawg last year. 2.495, 6.828, 0.78 This was a ski I rode this year in WP. Both skis worked well for what I like, just the flex was slightly different." This was in response to moving my fin back to .74 for a stiffer ski.
