Baller wtrskior Posted May 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted May 27, 2015 I've only ridden my Mapple 6.0 once this year. It's been in its sock,in its bag,in my climate controlled house since November When I last used it. I noticed some decoration on the top sheet back in the fall but it's a year old and I bought it used from a friend so didn't think anything of it. I always keep it out of the sun and heat. Now it appears there is some additional discoloration since the fall that is not dirt or water spots. I've cleaned the ski and as stated take good care of it. It appears some of these white or transparent markings are even new since Sunday when I last skied. So ballers you tell me if the ski is starting to delaminate? Baller GOODESkier Posted May 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted May 27, 2015 Goode test of a company, call M-Skis and see what they will do for you. You might be surprised, maybe they will fix/replace? Maybe give you a credit towards a new ski. Like I said, goode test of customer service, then report back here to tell us how it went.

Baller GOODESkier Posted May 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted May 27, 2015 @E_T I had a Goode company do that on a ski they made, just figured other companies might do the same when given the opportunity to win a customer. It is worth a shot right?
Administrators Horton Posted May 27, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 27, 2015 @wtrskior pretty sure that ski is fine. You have some moisture in the graphic layer of the top of the ski. Not pretty but not going to come apart. Baller wtrskior Posted May 27, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted May 27, 2015 Thanks @Horton. That's kind of what I was thinking It was and hoping it wouldn't separate. @eleeski nice try! I love this ski. @GOODESkier I may just do that because the resale on this stick will be zero if it keeps getting worse.
Baller MattP Posted May 27, 2015 Baller Share Posted May 27, 2015 What @Horton said. I'm sure @Mapple will work with you.
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted May 28, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted May 28, 2015 HO Phantoms used to do that, a couple of minutes with a warm blow dryer used to make that discoloration due to humidity vanish
Baller wtrskior Posted May 28, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted May 28, 2015 @Rico Yes it's the clear Shiney top. I've seen the matte finish skis, wondered if this is a reason they went that way? Didn't realize they had a film protectant though. I like the blue metal flake graphics but not the discoloration that's going on. I have washed the ski To no effect. I will try @richarddoane advice on using a hair dryer to see if that does anything.
