Administrators Horton Posted November 7, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 7, 2014 So I am exchanging messages with a famous ski type guy about fin settings and he says “ that's why running a long/shallow fin setup works better on A and a short/deep setup works better on C” At this point my ears started bleeding and I had to go to lunch. Baller Chef23 Posted November 7, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 7, 2014 A young pro skier told me once that for fin settings he had seen either forward/long/shallow or back/deep/short works. He didn't believe that back/long/shallow generally worked. He was working at a school and keeping track of fins of skiers he coached and/or adjusted. His comments weren't specific to a ski but more general observations.
Baller waterskicorey Posted November 7, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 7, 2014 I think what @Horton is getting at, is that not only do we have to adjust our fin for ski style, water temp, etc. now we have to adjusted it to A B C 1 2 3 on Zero Off also
Administrators Horton Posted November 7, 2014 Author Administrators Share Posted November 7, 2014 @waterskicorey No. Not at all. I am saying that when I read this my mind went blank and my ears started bleeding. Baller Waternut Posted November 8, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 8, 2014 We all know how much of this sport is mental so I'd say he's got a leg up if he is positive his setup will work better on a different ZO setting.
