Baller Skoot1123 Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 Wondering where folks have bought their turn buoys, boat guides, sub buoys and magnets (gasp!!). Have seen them on Overtons, Wallyskier, EZ-Slalom, Skier to Skier, Barts......anywhere else I should consider? I'd prefer to do business with a BOS sponsor. Thanks!! Baller sunperch Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 Wally bouys are the best we have used to date. They displace much easier than traditional Overton's bouys saving ankles and hold their color much better. We have had on set on for 2 seasons without any fading. When taken out of the water, the algae easily wipes off. The only limitation we have experienced is they do not hold up to ice when the lake freezes over. The ice cuts them up so we put old, traditional bouys on at the end of each season for the winter.
Baller lottawatta Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 I prefer the polyforms from Ed. His price is as good as any, service is top notch, and Ed is always quick to help anyone out with course supplies, questions, or problems.
Baller MrJones Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 EZ slalom. I generally love polyform, but something is up with the green bouys this year. I have had 4 deflate. The top looks like it just kind of melts/comes apart. No issue with reds/yellows. Just the green. Anyone else?
Baller LeonL Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 As for boat guides, use nothing but Polyform. I have Polyforms that are over 15 years old. They fade, but you dye them to restore a bright yellow color. For turn buoys I prefer the TaylorMade like Wally sells. Like @sunperch said we have a set that after two seasons show no noticeable fading. Hard to tell for sure without a new one to compare to. Silly me I only ordered ten. Baller Mateo_Vargas Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 Our next set will be taken from Precision Ranch.
Baller LeonL Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 Not to undermine Wally, but the TaylorMade buoys that he sells for $15.50 are available from jmsonline.com for $11.98.
kstateskier
EZ Slalom sells polyform and I believe has some colors no one else has - check with ed@ez-slalom.com. He's also on the forum here. His prices are great!
