Baller Ilivetoski Posted September 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2014 Anyone know about these boats? Their wakeboard boat looks like a malibu and their ski boat looks like a late 90's Prostar 190.
Baller oldjeep Posted September 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2014 I remember seeing some pictures before, some south American company that bought some old mastercraft molds?
Baller oldjeep Posted September 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2014 Although its funny, the ski boat looks like a mastercraft and the wake boat looks like a copy of an older Malibu with a newer G3 style tower (different but pretty close) http://www.masterboat.com.br/wakemaster.htm#!barcos/cb30
Baller BraceMaker Posted September 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2014 Brazil wasn't it? There was a Waterski mag article years back that was a trip to some other country to ski, and they had those in the pictures.
Baller ALPJr Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 That is basically a 91-94 MC190 hull with a step through windshield, 330hp and ZO. A pretty hot boat. The transom is from 91-92 as there is no center handrail, which came in 93.
Baller swc5150 Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 Wow, hard to believe that's for real! Does MC have a vested interested in them, or are they just letting them essentially knock off their old product (down to the lettering!). I'm curious what the 190 sells for in US converted dollars? Baller Mateo_Vargas Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 A guy in our club put a new 5.0 L and Zero-off in his '91. Guess he has a MasterBoat now.

Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted September 4, 2014 Gold Member Share Posted September 4, 2014 Hm. Beam of 2.14m is old-school-narrow (about 84") and most importantly fits through The Mousehole Tunnel. Interesting...
Baller ToddL Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 $29k for a 2004 Master Boat seems a bit too expensive. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Comp_Boat&postid=29679 $11k w/o ZO. That gives you a $18k engine upgrade/ZO budget to break even w Master Boat. If you can find a MC 190 with a failed engine, but good hull and interior, you can probably get it for more like $3k. That gives you a $26k engine upgrade/ZO budget to break even with Master Boat.
Baller chris_logan Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 So... surely it doesn't have wooden stringers. At least I would hope not.
Baller rodltg2 Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 Brazil is not cheap so I'm assuming it only makes sense to buy the boat if you live there as it would be cheaper than importing. It deafly wouldn't make any sense to do it the other way around it importing a master boat to the US
Baller ral Posted September 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2014 @Alberto Soares should be able to provide all the relevant details. As @rodltg2 states, boats in Brazil are really really expensive. A new Masterboat there is I believe more expensive than a brand new Nautique in the USA, and a brand new Nautique would cost twice the amount in the USA. As per the vested interest from MC, I would guess that the original MasterBoat mold came out of a Mastercraft, but was not produced in any Mastercraft factory... I have skied and driven Masterboats, tracking is not what I was used to, and @Alberto Soares had to pay the price of my lack of skills when pulling him...
