LZywicki1
I see that couple of ski companies like Radar and D3 make their high end ski with a softer flex for women. Being 5'9" and 145 and turning 58 next month and the good possibility that my injury slowed me down some would these skis be something to look into, kind of like senior shafts for your golf clubs? bishop8950
I know a few male skiers that prefer the softer ski. If their egos can manage it, they end up on the pink ski. They are both 50 something ad weigh ~150-160lbs and run 35. On the D3 you can always demo to see what you think.
Razorskier1
@richarddoane has skied on pink -- I think it made him moderately less aggressive!

LZywicki1
@Wish 34.2 Was working on getting more constant 28's, have gotten as far as 3-4 balls at 32 after running a 28. I could be awesome ;)

mopowpow
A friend's 14 year old son used one of her 'pink' D3s and loved it, he was probably about your size.

LZywicki1
Luckily enough to get out for the 6th time after the surgeon OK. Ran 2 sets of 4 passes at 15 off @34.2. Almost ran the 3rd pass, but had a bad grip after 3 ball and made around 4. Last set made the last pass with room to spare. Thanks @Chris Rossi numbers are working great. Baller ColeGiacopuzzi Posted October 2, 2014 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2014 I prefer the softer flex on the skis, it carves out of the turn better and the tip stays down more. I'm on a softer flex ski from radar, it's not pink haha, but you can definitely tell the difference from one that's stiffer! GOODESkier
You can get your GOODE Nano OneXT in any color you want........ my 66.75 has soft flex numbers and looks like any other GOODE Guy/Gal. I personally think there is something to a longer ski with softer flex numbers. Has been working for me.
LZywicki1
Just unboxed another one. Christmas present for my wife. This will actually be her first ski, she would always use one of my old skis.
Baller Wish Posted December 1, 2014 Baller Share Posted December 1, 2014 @onamission have her post here on how she skis on it and what she thinks. We need more women on this site. AND, I can call her awesome...
LZywicki1
@Wish That review may take a while. Carole is definitely a warm water skier, maybe the end of May unless I get her to go on a ski vacation.
SkiJay
Pink skis rock! I ran 1/2 a ball off of my PB this month during the one set I had on Whitney's pink Radar; I think because it put me so in touch with my feelings.

LZywicki1
Well here is a short review of the Radar Lyric from my wife. First off, she has not skied for at least 5 years, almost got up on the first try and then up and down the lake for 3 passes on the second try. She said the boots are very comfortable and the ski was not squirrelly and turned well. Only problem was all those buoys out there. :D
MarkM
My handle is pink. Didn't have a choice.
LZywicki1
Not sure it should post a video of my wife's first set, but here we go buoys and all. http://vimeo.com/119376444
