Baller A_B Posted August 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 12, 2014 Third paragraph. I know advances are made. My friend had a ski that broke down torsionally, as manufacturer confirmed, and he couldn't ski a lick on it. Time will tell about the Torque. http://www.waterskimag.com/features/2001/06/14/goode-9100/

Baller jimbrake Posted August 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 12, 2014 @OB - it's not all that bad. It was just one of the many opportunities I see each day to poke lighthearted fun on this board. I keep waiting for you to slip up. I'd like to hear the story of how @Stoner got that handle. Baller LeonL Posted August 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 13, 2014 Patent pending? Can one patent how much flex a ski has and where it flexes? Wouldn't think so.
Baller ForrestGump Posted August 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 13, 2014 The patent would be on the specific design, not where or how much flex there is.
Baller Texas6 Posted August 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 13, 2014 Design patents prevent anybody from creating something that "looks" similar - which in a way protects the flex he is providing by virtue of the design

Baller SkiJay Posted August 20, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 20, 2014 This video clearly shows how torsionally soft the new Mapple Torque ski is. Wow!
Baller Alvin_Neff Posted August 20, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 20, 2014 Love my T1!! I feel the torque at the finish of the turn and it seems much easier on this older skier's body! My -35 off tonight felt like -32 off!
Baller_ Wish Posted August 20, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted August 20, 2014 The way that thing twists and seemingly flops around, it is amazing it works at all. I will second the Wow. @OB. Ready when you are.
