Baller alex38 Posted August 10, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted August 10, 2014 Actually I have been complaining that my onside (RFF) is stalling, but today I ran about 8 28s that were pretty sweet, also feels unstable off the buoy

Baller Wayne Posted August 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2014 Wouldn't one side also be backwards unless you had a wing where the opposite side was threaded but I think the right wing is always threaded on HO stuff.
Baller_ Wish Posted August 10, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted August 10, 2014 Proof possitive that this sport is 90% mental and 10% performance based.
Baller alex38 Posted August 10, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted August 10, 2014 Yes, right half of wing is also backwards (can't see in photo)

Baller skialex Posted August 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2014 Few years ago some friends where meshing with another friend's fin, they put it backwards without touching the wing, the guy was skiing -15 at lower speeds, he run the course as usual and find out only when they show him the video of the whole prank! Baller liquid d Posted August 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2014 that's how Nate does it.
Baller Zman Posted August 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2014 Had a friend who has his wing half up/half down like that without knowing. He was definitely messed up on one side of the course. Could run his easier passes, but not his harder passes.
Baller ToddL Posted August 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2014 Swap it around so that the other side is up/backwards and this side is down. Then see what happens. Maybe it will balance out your turns. LOL! Or maybe your buddies have helped you stumble on the next big thing in skiing? (jk)
Baller Texas6 Posted August 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 10, 2014 Had a screw come out of my wing one time, and it auto rotated itself around and wedged up against the bottom of the ski - had two of the most horrible OTF's of my life right behind the boat pulling through the gates two passes in a row before looking at my ski and seeing the problem. I now inspect every screw every few sets to ensure this never happens again.
Baller alex38 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted August 11, 2014 I think I ran 32 like that a few days ago
Baller alex38 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted August 11, 2014 @Zman yup, that's me, had to drag a -32 to hell and back just to get out the exit. @wish yes when I went to fix it I thought: make sure you remeasure 7.5, then I stopped and said yeah right, that matters now? gator1
@alex38 i snow skied for 6 years in a pair of boots that I had canted the left boot 5 degrees negative when it was supposed to be 5 degrees positive. Took me TWO years to learn to ski right once I got new boots. Pretty rough on the techy-engineery ego.
TimWW
saw my ski partner run a PB with his fin like that, 5@35 off, after a few laughs he corrected it.
Baller alex38 Posted August 13, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted August 13, 2014 Finally got to give her a rip with correct fin, noticeably better hold out of turn. Took 1/2 a set to get used to it!!!!
