Administrators Horton Posted July 4, 2014 Administrators Share Posted July 4, 2014 I went the lake tonight to get some video of the Warp. I think trying to look “pretty” for the camera did the opposite. I wanted footage of one or two passes that I am proud of. After reviewing all 12 passes I realized that I made some silly skiing mistakes but this is a good representation of the ski. I am not a 39 off skier. I only run 38 on really good days. When I can run 32 and 35 this easy it says something about the ski. You be the judge. The below video is raw. I did not edit anything. Baller ALPJr Posted July 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 4, 2014 Nice skiing and nice video. The ski seems to be working well for you.
Baller Than_Bogan Posted July 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 4, 2014 Your lake needs a longer entry: I couldn't finish my nap before you got to the entrance gates.
Baller Than_Bogan Posted July 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 4, 2014 That ski sure does seem to work for you, though!
Baller rq0013 Posted July 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 4, 2014 You look smoother on that ski than any other I think. Good speed through out the pass
Baller Andre Posted July 4, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 4, 2014 Good skiing! I especially appreciate the always tight line at 35! Lake looks great!
Administrators Horton Posted July 7, 2014 Author Administrators Share Posted July 7, 2014 Thanks guys. The review cycle is coming to an end this week. I am going to cry when I take my bindings off the Warp. Baller thager Posted July 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 9, 2014 What are the flex numbers? I am thinking pretty soft.
Baller PatM Posted July 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 9, 2014 @Horton No one says you have to take the bindings off.
Administrators Horton Posted July 10, 2014 Author Administrators Share Posted July 10, 2014 @"Pat M" the ski review process moves on... @thager no the flex is pretty normal. Baller lkb Posted July 10, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 10, 2014 If anybody's interested, I have a warp for sale or possibly will trade it plus cash for a nano xt. It's got a few scrapes and scratches, but it is watertight now and always has been. LkbatPCLnetdotnet

Baller Than_Bogan Posted July 11, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 11, 2014 @Pat @Horton So the three of us ski at a pretty similar level. But which one of us has improved the most in the last few seasons? I claim it's Mr. Horton, and although the waay longer season could be a factor, it almost seems like this constant ski switching is making him a better skier!? Baller PatM Posted July 11, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 11, 2014 @Than_Bogan I believe there is something there. Never really getting overly comfortable on any one peace of equipment may make you more aware of technique.
Baller ozski Posted July 11, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 11, 2014 Hey Than, some dudes can just ski but having near perfect skiing conditions has to help as well. I don't see too many rollers and white caps in any of Horton's footage. If you can get a lot of quality practice things will happen for you. But we are a little of topic here, Horton did not run -38 on the Goode (XT) and from all accounts has gone a full 6 balls better or so on the Warp. He does not have to say anything, its easy to read between the lines.
Baller ozski Posted July 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2014 @OB - Yeah sure I was specifically referring to his XT review.
Baller addkerr Posted July 15, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 15, 2014 @Horton how are your bindings attached to the warp? Looks like no inserts.
Administrators Horton Posted July 16, 2014 Author Administrators Share Posted July 16, 2014 @addkerr I have a DualLock plate for my personal bindings.
