Baller ski4xtc Posted July 1, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2014 In my opinion, the Helix is faster cross course and it even turns a little tighter and quicker than the Quest. I do think the Quest crosses the wakes a little better. Both of the skis are stable and excellent turning skis.
Baller SkiJay Posted July 1, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2014 @isaacd3skis Both are more forgiving than most. The Quest is more forgiving than the Helix because it has bigger bevels and rides deeper in the water. Since the Helix rides higher, it is less work to accelerate and carries speed longer. I found the 66" Helix felt faster than even a 67" Quest. Both turn very well. I was told by D3 that skiers who demo both often pick the opposite ski that they expected to prefer, so demoing both is encouraged.

Baller ozski Posted July 1, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2014 Helix is faster and turns more aggressively so it depends on what you prefer, its not a huge step up the scale but a step never the less. I have both skis and currently nothing could convince me to go back to the Quest but its a very personal perspective.

I5boi
Ok. So now I'm confused. Looks like I need to demo both then do head to head with the winner and a vapor. Don't we have it good when our hard decisions in life revolve around a waterski?
isaacd3skis
It sounds like whichever ski you are going to be on either a quest, helix or vapour... they are going to be good.
