Baller BlueSki Posted June 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 17, 2014 Some friends in the midwestern north country just got approval for a course on a public lake. Before a new course is purchased, I thought I would check here to see if anyone has a portable course collecting dust in their garage or boat house. Portable is probably the way to go with this one, the law dictates that the course will have to come out frequently.
Baller BraceMaker Posted June 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 17, 2014 Shipping is a bear - but where is midwestern north country? If near me I have a course and no permit *doh*
Baller BlueSki Posted June 17, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted June 17, 2014 Northern Michigan, and yeah, shipping is a pita.
Baller MISkier Posted June 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 17, 2014 I can help out, at least temporarily, with a loaner. Shipping will be easy. We'll just drive it across the lake in the boat. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller BraceMaker Posted June 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 17, 2014 @blueski - what lake?
Baller MISkier Posted June 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 17, 2014 It's Grand Lake. North of Alpena. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller BraceMaker Posted June 18, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 18, 2014 Ah - too far east for me - I'd have let you launch it if there was a chance I'd ski it periodically. I'll check w/ the Brother - so far the other course owner on the lake doesn't have theirs in, so we are debating going out for a permit.
Baller BlueSki Posted June 18, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted June 18, 2014 I appreciate the consideration @BraceMaker. Grand Lake is a great time and you can get the best French toast of your life there. Skiing, French toast, then more skiing makes for a great morning. @MISkier, we may just have to do that.
