Baller Ilivetoski Posted June 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 I got my 66" vapor in March. Found 2 spots last night that it has begun to delaminte. One spot on the side and one on the very tip of the ski. Any recommendations on how to fix this? Radar says that they dont take back delams. Baller rockdog Posted June 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 No idea how to fix it, point is you shouldn't have to on a 3 month old ski. I would lean on them a little harder to do something about it, I would think most other manufacturers would sort it out.

Baller Ilivetoski Posted June 12, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 @rockdog They said that I could send it back and get it repaired, but 2 weeks off of skiing non injury related just isnt going to happen. They said 5 days there, 2 days to fix it, 5 days back.
Baller MattP Posted June 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 @Ilivetoski you could always overnight it both ways. 1 day there, 2 days to fix it, 1 day back....
eddie_roberts_jr
Funny John. I would like to see some better pictures close up of the problems and we'll resolve it tomorrow. We definitely do warrant a delaminated ski.

Baller eleeski Posted June 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 Darn! I was hoping you would just abandon the ski and give it to me. Shot down by Radar's excellent customer service - again. Still accepting broken skis. Thanks on behalf of the UCLA ski team to @Than_Bogan - his old ski is now teaching kids the course. Eric
Baller GOODESkier Posted June 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 @eleeski I am assuming an HO Radius 2 is not really something you are looking for......... unless you could cut some off in all the wrong places!

Baller bigtex2011 Posted June 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 My Vapor kinda started peeling a bit wear my handle was scrapping it. I know it was me because I bought 4 vapors and my kids and wifes all look perfect. my handle looks like s--- too because of wear it is rubbing the ski. again, my fatass leaning into the ski.. I took an exacto and cut About a 1/16" wide area and about 2" long off. It looked like a green sticker. There was a hard layer underneath the green. It doesn't bother me cause I've a bunch of 38's on that ski and it looks manly. Check you ski bag and other areas were u might of rubbed it. take care.. chris
Baller LeonL Posted June 13, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 13, 2014 @Ilivetoski , why not ask Eddie to replacè the ski instead of repair it. Barely 3 months old ? I would think a replacement would be in order.
Baller Ilivetoski Posted June 13, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted June 13, 2014 @LeonL I will be in NC next week, the new ski will meet me there. Those debates of Radar vs. Goode customer service I had with Josh and Ryan... I think I win.

Baller Moskier3ev Posted June 18, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 18, 2014 I did a repair delam repair. It was just the topcoat on an older Strada that I gave to my btrother. I took 2 part epoxy and used a tooth pick to apply in the delaminated area. Then a piece of 1X 1 scrap wood and a wood clamp. It looked new. He has had it 2 years and no additional work has been needed
