Members gregy
That's brutal. Anyone know what ski/bindings. Looks like he didn't release at all.
Baller gsm_peter Posted June 11, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 11, 2014 Agree, nasty. Hope he didn't got any problems after this... Johan rides Radar according to my knowledge (2014). Daniel rides HO Maybe works with goggle translate (from Swedish) http://www.wakeandski.se/wordpress/daniel/daniel-efverstrom/
skihard
Geez whiz that looks exactly like my crash on Monday night after work. I'm not young like that kid and I'm STILL hurting from it!!!!!
Baller ToddL Posted June 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 There is a frame coming into 2 ball where the bindings are a little clearer to see. Black with gray tops/liners. Not sure but it looks like Stradas. With Stradas, you can pull the top laces fully tight if you want to always stay in, thus no release wanted. I'm guessing that was his strategy. mwetskier
he made it to just outside the 3 ball so is that a quarter point? after all he did take the ski there with him.
Baller DanE Posted June 12, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2014 Stradas
ctsmith
If Stradas, as mentioned, he must bear down on the top laces. I come out of my Stradas just watching him crash.
Baller ToddL Posted June 15, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 15, 2014 @mwetskier Skiing outbound to the buoy line is considered 1/4 of a buoy. Continuing back across the buoy line as the turn completes is considered 1/2 of a buoy. Continuing all the way back to the line of the nearest boat guides before passing them is considered a fully buoy. 1/4 buoy scores are very rare and typically only occur when the skier is headed outbound but falls before the ski can hit the apex of the turn. mwetskier
@Toddl -it was a tongue in cheek joke. i was humorously noting that he still had his ski on as he passed out side the buoy line even after a few somersaults. the skier was obviously in crash mode from just outside the wake and basically tumbled his way out to the buoy line so his score would have only been as high as the previous ball. Baller ToddL Posted June 15, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 15, 2014 Got it. @mwetskier (There was another thread with similar scoring.)
