Baller gjohnson Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 I recently bought a Reflex front binding system. Unfortunately, the Reflex plate is about 1/2" further forward than I'd like. Has anyone had this issue? And if so, how did you solve the problem?
Baller Kelvin Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 Doesn't the plate have multiple holes in it? I had to move all of the hardware back to get the correct binding placement on my Nano One. Another alternative is to buy a blank G10 plate from @teammalibu and mount everything yourself. Baller ForrestGump Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 As long as you keep the right space relationship between the horseshoe and the release blocks, you can move the binding forward or backward on the plate to accommodate different ski positioning. Baller gjohnson Posted June 9, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 @Kelvin Yes. But the furthest back it'll go isn't far enough. I don't believe my plate has the holes in it to move the hardware back.
Baller ral Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 Can you post a picture? It sounds strange, Reflex plates are fairly standard...
Baller ForrestGump Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 Reflex plates typically have a bunch of holes drill in the plate down the center for the horseshoe and in back for the release blocks. Like 10 sets of holes.

Baller Kelvin Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 The older reflex plates had alot more holes down the middle for adjustment of both ends of the mounting system. Either drill more holes for the mounting system or the ski or get a g10 plate from @teammalibu.
Baller ral Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 @ShaneH, now they come with one set for the back unit. Which makes more sense than beforehand in theory, as the distance between the back of the boot and the tail is where is the one provided by manufacturers. In theory, as some talk about the anklebone as the measuring point... @gjohnson, what distance are you measuring when mounting in the middle hole? What ski? Baller ForrestGump Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 Interesting, @RAL. I just bought a new one a couple of weeks ago and it had multiple holes for the release blocks.
Baller ral Posted June 9, 2014 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2014 @ShaneH, where did you buy it? Maybe old stock? See page 10 below, one set of holes since 2012. http://reflexworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/reflex-user-manual-2014.pdf
