Warp review - the first few rides

The poor Warp sat on my shelf for almost a month while I finished another review.

Every review starts with me saying to myself "I hope this thing does not suck". Last thursday I took it out with bone stock settings. The first few passes were ok. On side turns were automatic. Off side turns needed some adjustment from the skier.

By the end of the ride things started flowing. A little more front foot pressure at off side and "KaPow!" Oooo so that is how this ski wants "off side" ski to go. After 2 rides of 32s and 35 things started to flow better and better. At the end of my third ride I took my first stab at 38 on the Warp see below.

I skied a total of 8 sets on the Warp last weekend. I tried 38 maybe 5 times and ran it twice. For me that is freak'n good. I assume that with time this ski and I will run some smooth 38s and poke and the that next nasty loop.

@jayski‌ that hardest thing about changing skis is always the gate. By the end of the review I will have it and then it starts all over again.

@kstateskier‌ that is the pass I do not often run and my first time running out this year... give me a few weeks before we define the ski

@Horton how apparent to you was the shut down coming into the ball? I can't imagine you could ride this ski for the first time and not notice. It did take me a set or two to adapt, interesting that your already running -38 on it compared to your best set on the previous ski. My own personal take is that the Warp comes into its own post -32.
