taken yesterday at the CAWSC kickoff 3 event... it was howlin' windy with a 20+ tail wind... we jumped anyway... cuz nothin' gets your blood pumpin' like jumpin'! I think the standing skier is Elgin F. Although he did not land any, he has great effort and sprit!

@madd11 Did you see the one in in 2009 or so at Aquaplex... Worst Fall Ever... (except for when I broke my ankle on my slalom ski 10 years ago) I came out the front HARD, and didn't jump again for almost 2 years. Or was it the crash at SMRR last summer? That one wasn't as bad, but I sure did a "whoa s&^#!!" coming off the ramp. I thought the trick was leaning forward into the ramp? we can move the studs back a bit, I just wish I was jumping better... 40 ft sucks. But what do I expect when I never practice jump, except in a tourny.

@usaski1 crazy stuff, dude. Look good off the jump, a little worried about where that ski tip is in mid-air! Maybe back one hole on the seat...though I'm certainly no expert. Wicked stuff regardless.

Is there any kind of cushion/spring built into the seat set-up for landing?

When I lived in Waterloo, IA we did an annual event teaching the spinal cord injured to ski on sit skis. Super enthusiastic group and a great day on the water....we didn't let 'em jump, though!

@6balls There is no cushion. I can feel everything, and sometimes I pay for it the next day. I can move the seat back a hole. You gotta be a bit crazy to jump. I didn't for the first 5 or so years that I was competing, but glad I started, as I won the overall for my division at the 2001 Australia worlds. Here's some old vids of me, but they are cool.
