behindpropellers
Folks, Our club leases our lake from an entity. We need to get insurance for the club to lease the premises. Does anybody have any insurance agents that you could send to me for this insurance. Thanks, Tim
klindy
Did you try USAWS?
behindpropellers
@klindy No. Trying to stay away from USAws. Tim
waterskigirl
We use Global Marine for boat and lake, Jeff Heydlauff (JHeydlauff@globalmarineinsurance.com) FYI... $$$ :( but virtually no choices in this little niche.
SkiKolb
Try sportsinsurance.com. Great rates I use them.
Baller sunperch Posted April 8, 2014 Baller Share Posted April 8, 2014 I use sportsinsurance.com for our club liability as well. I went through the agent that @lpskier recommended: Wayne Feinstein (518) 891-2020. We started with looking at the general liability insurance that is offered by USAWS but it was 3x the price and had way too many stipulations/loopholes. yardsale
Chubb. They are the most expensive but will insure anything.

Bubski
I am wondering if anyone has switched from Global Marine to Sportsinsurance and how they compare to each other. Our lake insurance is up for renewal and we are trying to determine which way to go. Any feedback will be helpful.
waterskigirl
Yes, we switched... after reading the other posts I figured what heck I'd price Sports insurance out...It was shocking the difference in price for the same exact policy!
jipster43
Bump. Our lake insurance is up for renewal, and we’re looking for other options. Is anyone having success with companies other than sports insurance. We’ll be looking into them as well, but we want as many options as possible. Thanks! Baller lpskier Posted March 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted March 15, 2020 If you find a better option than SPORTSINSURANCE.COM, let me know. I’d call Wayne at 518-891-2020 and speak to him first. It will save you lots of time and effort. Lpskier
Baller oldmanskier Posted March 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted March 15, 2020 I agree with lpskier. We switched to SPORTSINSURANCE.COM three years ago. Wayne saved us close to 4 grand a year on what we were paying another company for a three event private ski lake insurance. oldmanskier(Tom Smothers No Wake Ski Club)
Baller RichardDoane Posted March 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted March 16, 2020 @jipster43 Alcott Insurance in San Diego does a great job and has all the answers. Ask for my pal Jim, 619 293 3800, he also supports the Western Region, check last year's guide for his ads.
keithh2oskier
Does sportsinsurance.com do boats or just strictly liability?
Baller lpskier Posted March 17, 2020 Baller Share Posted March 17, 2020 Just liability. Global Marine is probably your best bet for hull insurance. Lpskier
