O'Neil cust service ++

Sent my 5 yr old hybrid drysuit back to O'Neil. Its had a rough life, including working on boat lifts, installing and pulling courses, working on boats, etc. Told my dealer to spend no more than $100 refurbing it.

 

Came back with a new zipper, new collar, new wrist gaskets, taped and glued leg seams.

 

NO CHARGE! That's pretty damn cool.

Not so for me. I sent back my 4 year old Throttle and they charged me $175 to replace the zipper. I would have got a new one but no more Throttles out there. Why cant they build a full neo suit anymore?

Interesting. I've been buying stuff at a local ski store called Sports Creel for couple of decades. I always wonder if my good luck on warranty/returns is due to them or the OEM. Maybe them in this case.

I think that they lifetime the seals but not zippers.

I have not had great luck with O'neil and won't buy another one drysuit from them because of it. I own a 3 years old assault hybrid drysuit and last fall the wrist and neck seals started to rip, I didn't have a back up and wanted to keep skiing until the season was over, so I used some aqua seal glue to fix them. Just so you know there was NO glue put on anywhere near where the seals are glued to the drysuit. So I sent it into O'neil and I was told that because I glued the "rips" that they would not replace the seals. Like I said, I put no glue anywhere near the suit, just some on the seals. Not impressed with their service.
