Baller Wish Posted November 5, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 5, 2013 So a heavily sponsored slalom specialist gets hurt barefoot jumping over an outboard motor...really big bowling balls had that gone bad. Just sayn.. That had a heck of a wow factor..

Texas6
I cringe when he fell right behind the outboard. I know momentum likely prohibits anyone from hitting the motor or prop but it still seems crazy dangerous

Brewski
The Freestyle line is around 8-10 feet behind the motor so he really is not jumping over the motor @Eagle1 Chuck can tell us for sure the distance.

Baller Zman Posted November 8, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 8, 2013 @Bulldog - reminds me of one evening when I lived on Lake Tennessee in FL when a ski bud and I were footing until after 9PM and getting quite dark. We were having so much fun, but then it finally hit us - night time, dark - lake full of 10 foot and bigger gators.
Baller Bulldog Posted November 8, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 8, 2013 @Zman up here in the Great White North we don't have the gators but I have had many a late evening on the dark flat water…always having too much fun to get off of the water! Baller BraceMaker Posted November 8, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 8, 2013 @texas6 - I'm with you sounded like the lady was yelling at him to let go every time he was tumbling behind the boat.
Baller 6balls Posted November 8, 2013 Baller Share Posted November 8, 2013 @bulldog we used to do midnight barefoot lines @razorskier1's place with regularity using an infrared video cam to capture it. We have one vid with two boats, 4 footers per boat. Other times it was marathon run two guys running a couple of miles, gripping and regripping...no one willing to let go. Razorskier1
I think Nate is a superior athlete when compared to us mere mortals. Most of us fall within one standard deviation of athletic ability. Nate is at the right tail of that distribution. Fun to watch!
