coskier
I have to do the family thing in Fla during Xmass and new years, I will be in and around Port St. Lucy, Fort Lauderdale, and Tampa. My question is are the ski coaching sites that time of year? Also, is it best to bring your own ski? Thanks!
Baller Skoot1123 Posted October 23, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 23, 2013 @coskier - absolutely go ski with a coach that time of the year. Bring your ski if you can, but if that isn't an option at least bring your bindings. Not sure of all the ski schools in those areas, but you can search for water ski schools on water ski magazines website. I'll be in FLA the week before Christmas. MCskiFreak
McCormicks is also near the area...not really a ton of coaching or ski sites on the south west coast of Florida though.
Edbrazil
And in the Tampa area, there is McCormicks in Seffner. Some family members (and you?) could find it an interesting experience to also go on their cable ski setup, which is separate from their tournament waterski lake. kstateskier
If you're in Port St Lucie you're not far from Okeheelee. Find someone who skis there and grab a set!
Baller ozski Posted October 23, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 23, 2013 Make sure you check out Mcginnis at FT Lauderdale - http://mcski.com/
colo_skier
If you have never skied Okeheelee and you can get the chance take it. It's well worth the effort.
