Dinga04
Hi guys, My ski buddy had the handle hit the ski from a fall. It has damaged the top clear coating, but not the carbon. Advice on resin to use? I was going to use Epoxy, but I know it has more of a yellow tint to it. Note, I'm in Perth, Australia and we purchased the ski online from the USA, so can't send it back to radar for a repair. Cheers in advance. Baller mwetskier Posted August 16, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 16, 2013 aren't you australians tough guys who kill crocs with a bowie knife and cook them up over a camp fire? thats what i see in the movies. put a logo sticker from your favorite ski boat maker like nautique or mastercraft over the top of the scratch and call it a day. TheBigHead
Looks cosmetic to me! I second putting a sticker over it. If you are really worried, epoxy/sand then sticker

Baller gsm_peter Posted August 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 17, 2013 Repair with yellow epoxi. Best for the ski. No sticker. Looks more hardcore.

Baller mwetskier Posted August 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 19, 2013 i think the guy in that movie might have been a little older and maybe needed the extra help?
Baller rockdog Posted August 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 19, 2013 Not sure of the movie, but he sounds like an imposter.
Baller skialex Posted August 19, 2013 Baller Share Posted August 19, 2013 use the 302 modified acrylate A+B (about 2$ online), then sand it. If you do it right you would not need to cover it with a sticker.
eddie_roberts_jr
You're probably just going to make it look worse by putting anything at all on it. It is a sheet of clear plastic with screening on the underside and basically nothing you put on it will make it look any better, except maybe a sticker.
